Construction Project Manager

Description

We are looking for a professional responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, by coordinating activities, managing subcontractors, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues that may arise throughout the building process; essentially acting as one of the leading managers of a construction project team. The company is extensively engaged in commercial projects involving small-scale remodelling construction, commercial painting & decorating projects, building repairs & maintenance contacts, which will include multitasking project management.

Requirements

  •  Master’s degree in project management. 
  • Any relevant experience will be a plus.
  • Excellent communication skils.
  • Must agree to undertake and complete the relevant courses including Health & Safety course and the Construction Industry Certification Scheme. 
  • Must have right to work in the State.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding what the client requirement and create a project specification for onboarding projects.
  • Agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver a project Drawing up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of a project.
  • Selecting and leading a project team.
  • Negotiating with contractors and suppliers. 
  • Managing any possible conflicts.
  • Communicating with staff at every level, in a calm, personable way.
  • Ensuring that each stage of the project happens on time, on budget and to a high-quality standard.
  • Reporting regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating market and customer research.
  • Resolving any issues or delays, and resolving regulatory issues.
  • Performing risk analysis, and planning health & safety procedures Writing bids for the tender.
  • Managing several projects simultaneously with the support of junior project managers.
  • Working in an office or on a site.
